An Evening with Rebecca Luker

Celebrate the start of our musical season with a special evening showcasing the music of Broadway and the Great American Songbook! We'll welcome a very special guest performer for this one-night-only event that's followed by a gala party!

Featuring Broadway Star Rebecca Luker! Known for her many performances as well as her interpretation of the American Songbook, Ms. Luker will open the season. Ms. Luker has long been recognized for the skillful combination of her distinctive fine soprano voice and rare dramatic sensibility.

Luker, a three-time Tony nominee and Broadway star, opens our season with a solo show of her favorite music. Rebecca is an elegant singer and seeing her with just her music director at the piano will be an intimate and unforgettable experience!

As New York Times critic Stephen Holden noted in a review of  Ms. Luker in a cabaret performance, "If you've been wondering who, if anyone, might be the heir to the great Barbara Cook, Ms. Luker, who also comes from the South (Birmingham, Ala.) and also played Marian the librarian (in the revival of The Music Man) is the one."

Students may attend free using Live Arts Maryland’s special Student Rush program by visiting the box office a half-hour prior to curtain. Students 18 and up must present a valid ID to receive a ticket.

Join us for a post-performance reception on stage. (Separate ticket) Reception will offer hors d'eouvres, drinks and a memorable experience with Rebecca Luker! Tickets purchased seperately from performance ticket.
