Course Description: 

In this class students will work on making pouring vessels that look good and work properly. We will discuss the ergonomics and aesthetic aspects of pitchers, teapots and watering cans. We will pay attention to details of rims, feet, handles. We'lll also talk about proportions and balance. Student must be able to center and throw a small cylinder and a bowl shape. Bring an old small towel,a sketch book and lots of ideas. A materials fee of $30 is due to Maryland Hall Pottery at the first class. No class 4/17 and 4/20. Independent study on 4/13.
