Class Policies
What if my class is canceled?
Classes may be canceled if sufficient enrollment is not reached by the start of the class. You will receive a full refund including the tuition and any additional fees. To help ensure that your class will not be canceled, please register early. Maryland Hall does not pro-rate classes or offer drop-in classes.
Requests for Class or Workshop Withdrawal and Refund
To initiate a withdrawal request please email info@marylandhall.org
If the request to withdraw is made 10 or more business days* prior to the start of the class, you will be refunded in full (100% refund of the class price).
If the request to withdraw is made 5 or more business days* prior to the start of the class, you will be refunded at 50% of the class price.
If the request to withdraw is made between 0 and 4 business days* prior to the start of the class, there will be no refund because we have committed to paying the teaching artist at the rate for the number of students enrolled in the class.
*Business days are Monday – Friday.
Refunds may take up to two weeks to process.
Summer camps:
To initiate a withdrawal request or to transfer from one camp to another, please email info@marylandhall.org
Transferring enrollment
If the request to transfer is made 10 or more business days* prior to the start date, to a camp or class that has available space there will be no transfer penalty.
Camp withdrawals
If the request to withdraw is made 15 or more business days* prior to the start of the camp, you will be refunded in full (100% of the camp price)
If the request to withdraw is made 10 or more business days* prior to the start of the camp, you will be refunded at 50% of the camp price.
If the request to withdraw is made between 0 and 9 business days* prior to the start of the camp, there will be no refund because we have committed to paying the teaching artist at the rate for the number of students enrolled in the camp.

Inclement Weather Policy
Maryland Hall posts closure information due to weather on the homepage of our website. Closures or schedule adjustments due to weather are posted to the site as soon as decisions are made.
Maryland Hall follows the Anne Arundel County Public Schools (AACPS) inclement weather policy for classes held Monday – Friday.
If AACPS is closed all day due to weather (code red or code blue), Maryland Hall will NOT have classes. If you are registered for a class you will receive an email notifying you of the closure. This information will also be on a banner on the website.
If AACPS opens one or two hours late due to weather, classes held before noon at Maryland Hall will be canceled. If you are registered for a class you will receive an email notifying you of the closure. This information will also be on a banner on the website.
If AACPS dismisses early due to weather or cancels after-school activities, classes held after early dismissal at Maryland Hall will be canceled. If you are registered for a class you will receive an email notifying you of the closure. This information will also be on a banner on the website.
For status of Saturday/Sunday classes due to weather, please check the Maryland Hall website and/or contact Guest Services.
Student Behavior Policy
To ensure a pleasant artistic experience for all our students, we ask that they uphold the following Student Behavior Policy:
Students are expected to come prepared for and to participate in class.
Students are expected to treat the staff, building and fellow students with respect.
Students are not allowed to possess or consume alcohol or controlled substances in or around the building.
Smoking is prohibited inside the building and within 150 feet of the building.
Students who are consistently disruptive during class time may be asked not to return by the instructor. No refunds will be issued.
Release
When you register (or register your child) for a Maryland Hall class, by signing the release form at the point of registration, you release Maryland Hall from any liability, claims, judgments or demands arising because of any course of instruction or supervision at Maryland Hall. By registering for a class, students and parents are giving consent for their images or children’s images to be used in publicity material and to tell the story of Maryland Hall. If you choose to not have your image (or your child’s image) used, please contact your teaching artist.
