FAQ

What programs does Maryland Hall sell tickets to?

The Maryland Hall Box Office sells tickets to all MD Hall Performances, Annapolis Opera, Ballet Theatre of Maryland, Live Arts Maryland/Annapolis Chorale performances. For ticket information, contact the MD Hall Box Office at info@marylandhall.org or call 410-263-5544.  The Annapolis Symphony Orchestra has their own Box Office for Annapolis Symphony events and performances. Please contact the ASO for ticket information at 410-263-0907 or email info@annapolissymphony.org. Tickets for all Rams Head productions are sold by Rams Head Presents, please contact them at 410-268-4545 or email boxoffice@ramsheadgroup.com.

What payment types do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express, Travelers Check, Personal Check with ID, Cash and MD Hall Gift Certificates.

Where can I park?

Parking is free on the Maryland Hall campus. Maryland Hall can accommodate parking for most events. Parking lots are easily accessible off of Carraway Lane and Chase Street. Overflow parking is located within 1 block of Maryland Hall on residential areas, at Bates Middle School (for evening and weekend events) and at the West Garrett Parking Garage located at 4 Amos Garrett Blvd, Annapolis, 21401. This garage is within walking distance to Maryland Hall. 

We recommend arriving at least ½ hour prior to show time for parking.  Please do not park in the two small parking lots adjacent to the new townhomes on Carraway Lane; the townhomes enforce towing in those lots for non-resident cars.

Is your building handicap accessible?

Maryland Hall is handicap accessible. Upon arrival there are designated accessible parking spaces in Lot C and Lot D behind the building. Near each lot is an adjacent ramp that leads to 3 entrances with automatic doors to the first floor; the North entrance on the side of the building that faces Carraway Lane and 2 entrances in the back of the building. Lot C is closest to the elevator which is located on the first floor just inside the building at the North entrance (facing Carraway Lane).

Do you have group rates?

Group rates are available for most events at Maryland Hall for groups of 10 or more patrons to a single performance. Please contact the Box Office directly at 410-263-5544 or email info@marylandhall.org to inquire about group pricing for the event of your choice and to purchase group tickets. A $10 service fee per group order is applied. 

How much is the service fee for tickets?

Maryland Hall charges a $6 service fee per ticket for mail or will call. All ticket prices include ticket fees unless otherwise noted. For Group and subscription orders, a $10 service fee per order is applied. 

Do you accept third party tickets?

Ticket are not transferable. Maryland Hall does not accept third party ticketing as entry to events at Maryland Hall. Only tickets purchased through the Maryland Hall Box Office or at Marylandhall.org are valid for entry. Please contact the Box Office with any questions at 410-263-5544 or info@marylandhall.org.

Are food and beverages allowed in the theatre?

Food and beverages are allowed during most events. Some exceptions apply for selected performances.  

The Cafe at Maryland Hall, on the 1st floor, is typically open for performances through intermission. This is subject to change. The Cafe keeps their facebook page updated with weekly hours. There are also vending machines located on the 1st floor. 

Are there any restaurants or bars located near Maryland Hall?

There are several bars and restaurants located within 2 miles from Maryland Hall. Click here for a complete list of restaurants. Also, Maryland Hall hosts a bar in the Chaney Gallery before and during intermission for select shows.

Are there any hotels nearby?

Yes. Within walking distance of Maryland Hall is the Westin Hotel. You can find additional overnight options here.

Does Maryland Hall ever sell, give away or share patron information?

Maryland Hall protects its patron information and does not share names, addresses, emails or any other data with any individual or entity.  Patron data is used solely for marketing and fundraising purposes related to Maryland Hall programs.      

Who do I call to rent the theatre or a room at Maryland Hall?

Maryland Hall is currently not accepting applications to rent our main theatre.  To inquire about booking any other space at Maryland Hall, you must complete the room rental request form.  You will be contacted within 5-7 business days of your request.  

Can I exchange tickets?  Or get a refund?  

Tickets can often be exchanged but no refunds are offered for any performance. Exchanges are subject to availability. Please contact the Box Office at 410-263-5544 or email info@marylandhall.org.

Can I bring my camera to take pictures?

Most performances do not allow photography.  For students recitals, please check with the company or instructor.

What age do you have to be to be considered a senior? Child? 

For patrons 65 years and older, senior prices are available for select performances. Child ages are 10 and under. All ages must have a ticket for entry to the theatre.

Do you have Student tickets?

Yes, student tickets are available for most performances. Students over the age of 18 must show student id. Student Rush tickets are also available for Annapolis Chorale and Ballet Theatre of Maryland performances beginning 1 hour prior to show time. What happens if a performance is canceled due to inclement weather or some other circumstance?

The Maryland Hall Box Office will contact ticket holders with options in the event a performance is cancelled due to inclement weather or other uncontrollable circumstances.

How do I buy a gift certificate? 

You can purchase gift certificates here or by contacting the MD Hall Guest Services Center at info@marylandhall.org or 410-263-5544.  Gift certificates may be used toward classes, tickets, memberships and art purchases.

How do I redeem my gift certificate? 

The recipient can redeem the gift certificate in person in at the Guest Services Center at Maryland Hall (M-F, 9 am to 5 pm) or can use it to make purchases on the Maryland Hall website. Click here for more information.

When should I arrive for the show?

We recommend you arrive at least 30 minutes before show time.  If you are picking up your tickets at Will Call before the show, we recommend you arrive 45 minutes before show time. Maryland Hall's Will Call is located in the Guest Services Center, room 211. 

Do you have a lost and found? 

Our lost and found is located in the Guest Services Center, room 211. You may call 410-263-5544 or email info@marylandhall.org to find out about items in our lost and found or to report a missing item.
