A way of life can mean many things. Webster defines it as “The habits, customs, and beliefs of a particular person or group of people” or “an important activity, job, etc., that affects all parts of someone's life.” When regarding this theme, we may look as far as different cultures or just outside our back door. We may just work creatively, abstractly, in a personal manner that has become our way of making photographs. It opens possibilities of all sorts to the Artist/Photographer.

A Way of Life is the Digital Photography Club of Annapolis’ (DPCA) fifth juried exhibition and we are fortunate in having local photographer Jay Fleming as our juror for the show. The DPCA meets at Maryland Hall twice monthly where we have speakers on a great variety of photographic topics. We show our works, discuss new technology, take field trips, and have challenge shoots. Open to all, the club tries to keep the creative spark alive in those of us for whom photography has become “ A Way of Life.”
