Freedom of Nature by Yumi Hogan

Martino Gallery, 2nd floor

"My artwork interprets the abstract vision of nature’s harmony. Human beings are like nature – our emotions showcase the freedom of movement and unstructured imagery. Our lives connect this way.

Some of my works depict the changes and memories that affected my life. After my husband got cancer, I began to use more colors and lines. I have a childhood memory of my mother and grandmother making silk fabrics, each strand swaying with the breeze.

It portrays the unpredictable path of human life and nature – with its emotional up and downs. It is the calm before the storm. I intend to share the connection between nature and life through my works."
