We are looking for a team member who is enthusiastic, friendly, and hardworking to work in our busy box office/guest services office. Must have a consistently positive attitude, and work well under pressure, both cooperatively and alone. The Guest Services Assistant is responsible for warmly greeting patrons, quickly and accurately identifying their service needs, and assisting with ticket purchases, class registration processes, membership gallery and group sales, Will Call, or be able to answer general questions and resolve issues through first-rate customer service. The overall focus is on sales and service at all times. Hours include nights/weekends for box office during performance days. 20- 25 hours per week.

Responsibilities and Duties

Responsibilities include:

  • Proactively sell and up sell performance tickets,subscription sales,class registrations and gallery sales.
  • Responsible for ticket exchanges, ticket donations, Will Call, and maintaining the box office and print at home email accounts.
  • Manage group sales and develop relationships with local business to promote ticket sales
  • Remain up-to-date and knowledgeable of the performances, venue and classes and be able to comfortably relay that information to our patrons. Ability to offer suggestions to restaurants, parking and hotels in the area.
  • Provide exceptional service to patrons both on the phone and in person.
  • Ability to work in a hectic fast-paced environment, while maintaining a professional, courteous demeanor.
  • Provide administrative support as required for the organization.

Qualifications and Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of Tessitura Software or other CRM software system preferred. Sales experience and previous customer service experience required. Requisites are: multi-tasking, problem-solving, time-management, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Must be punctual, dependable and have reliable transportation to and from work.
