CALL FOR ENTRY - BIG INK is pleased to partner with Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts for two one-day large woodcut printing sessions on August 4 & 5.

We’ll be utilizing BIG INK’s giant 48” x 96” mobile etching press to pull prints. If accepted, artists will have two months prior to the event to carve their image into a piece of plywood. BIG INK remains in contact with each participant providing guidance and technical support when needed. Artwork made during workshops will be exhibited from Aug 6th - 19th at Maryland Hall.

Artist in Residence and Gallery Space Call to Artists

Maryland Hall invites artists and artist groups to apply throughout the year to exhibit in our galleries and exhibit spaces as well as to apply for the Artist-in-Residence program as studios are available.  

Artist-in-Residence Call to Artists

Maryland Hall is currently accepting applications for space in the SPACE 305 AIR Program and the Long Term AIR Program. Rent is $125 per month and $300 for larger Long Term Studio Space.  Applications accepted on an ongoing basis. 

Eligibility
  • Long-term studio spaces can accommodate artist residing in the Annapolis/Anne Arundel County region.
  • Short-term studio spaces can accommodate artists residing within or without MD.

*applications will not be considered unless these guidelines are followed*

Artist Groups: Artist groups or organizations should include 10-20 images of artists whose work will be represented in the proposed exhibition. A brief statement (no more than one page) about the proposed exhibition and the work it encompasses (in lieu of individual artist statements).  Please email Gallery Director, Sigrid Trumpy at strumpy@mdhallarts.org with this information.
